Caravan Shows You Should Be Attending In 2020!

For all caravan enthusiasts there is nothing better than filling your year with a variety of exciting caravan shows! We have comprised a list of caravan shows you should be attending for each month of 2020 all around the country. So, buckle in – lets go for a ride!

January – Caravan and Motorhome Show 2020 EventCity Manchester
16th-18th January 2020

Kicking off the year with a bang is the Caravan and Motorhome Show at EventCity in Manchester. It is one of the biggest shows of the year offering a large choice of caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes along with offering some of the best show only offers and discounts.

The show offers a wide range of attractions including tow car taster sessions, free motorhome manoeuvring and not to mention over 200 different exhibitors with the latest models and accessories. Along with this you can expect to find experts throughout the show who will deliver a range of inspiring talks and advice on camping and travelling.

For anyone who attended the show last year you may have taken part in “The Towing Experience”. Well you will be happy to hear The Camping and Caravan Club have teamed up with Lookers Volvo Stockport to ensure this brilliant incentive is back again. You will get the chance to take part in a free 15 minute one to one towing tuition session on how to tow a touring caravan safety, efficiently and economically. You must be 25 or over to take part, and don’t forget to bring along your driving licence and national insurance number for the appropriate checks!

And if you thought it couldn’t get much better than that – it does! As a visitor to the show you will also receive complimentary entry to Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show which runs in Hall 4 of EventCity! It is the perfect place to explore and help you book your next getaway in the sun!

Tickets for this show are currently only £8.50 for a Standard Adult with children under 16 going free. EventCity are also offering a “Rohan Ticket Bundle” for £26 which includes two adult admission tickets and one Rohan Global T garment which usually sells for £30. We think this is great value for money so secure your tickets now for the best possible price!

February – The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show 2020 NEC Birmingham
18th-23rd February 2020

Moving onto February with another massive show of course must be The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC Birmingham. This show is the UK’s biggest showcase of everything campervans, caravans, caravan holiday homes and lodges related.

Once again, this show has all the latest models on display along with the usual special guests and expert advice. Like EventCity this show also includes attractions such as the free towing experience and motorhome manoeuvring and free campervan test drive. Again, this will require a driving license so don’t forget to bring it along!

So far you may be wondering what the NEC show has to offer that the EventCity show doesn’t. Well let us give you an insight. The NCC TowCheck stand will be offering free checks to see if your car is capable of towing a specific caravan. You will also receive advice on driving license requirements as well as general towing information!

The NEC show have created a “Camping Zone” where you can see all the latest tents set up, along with having experts on hand for any advice - you can even climb in and give them a go! Along with this there is also the Holiday Park Experience, whereby you get the chance to experience what a holiday park can offer for the whole family. And the best bit is still to come... there is a climbing and bouldering wall situated within the holiday park for all to try!

A final plus to this show is the Top Dog Arena which will be packed with pooch talent every day! You can expect to see agility, assistance and dancing from all the dogs and even be in with the chance of seeing a Crufts winner or two!

Tickets are currently £8 per adult and £7 per senior (60+) again with children 15 years and under going free. There is a chance these tickets may increase, so getting booked while you can and ensure you don’t miss out on the show of the year!

March – The Yorkshire Motorhome & Campervan Show
20th-22nd March 2020

Moving onto March, a slightly smaller but just as exciting show! The Yorkshire Motorhome & Campervan Show has over 120 exhibitors covering both in and outdoor exhibition areas. Along with this there will be over 250 new and used motorhomes and campervans available for purchase from both national and local dealers!

Again, like most shows there will be a number of expert seminars where you can receive expert tips and advice. Along with this the show is also throwing in free 20-minute manoeuvring courses courtesy of The Caravan and Motorhome Club – don’t you just love a freebie!

Although this is a day event there is a on-site campsite, meaning you can turn your day out into a weekend away and bring your camping gear along for the ride! There are only 66 pitches available on this site though so make sure you get in there quick as it is first come first serve!

Tickets cost £7 per adult when purchased on the gate, however you can save yourself a couple of pennies by booking online for just £5! With this you will receive free parking along with a free showguide on entry. Sounds like a good deal to us!

April – The National Motorhome & Campervan Show Peterborough
17th-19th April 2020

Another big show for April, with The National Motorhome & Campervan Show in Peterborough holding over 300 exhibitors with over 600 new vehicles to choose from! Not only can you search for you dream motorhome or campervan, but you can also view the latest selection of luxury lodges on the market!

Unlike other shows this is definitely one for the fun-goers and holiday makers. Not only do you have the option of visiting the show for the day, but you can also enjoy the entire weekend by staying onsite at one of the camping pitches along with enjoying live entertainment every day! In this year’s line-up you can expect to see the likes of Citizen Smith, Suzi Quatro, The Carpenters Voice of Heart plus many more. Sounds like an unmissable line-up to us!

Aside from the entertainment and exhibitors you can also expect a range of seminars, along with free test drives and manoeuvring courses. Day tickets cost just £6 if you book online, with children under 16 going free. Camping pitches range in cost starting from £50 so get booking while you can!

May – The Southern Motorhome Show
15th-17th May 2020

Another weekend away for you to enjoy with The Southern Motorhome Show. With slightly less exhibitors than April’s show, this show will still have more than 420 new and used models from over 40 local and national dealers.

This show gives you the opportunity to stay for the weekend and again like April’s show experiencing a range of evening entertainment from the likes of Chuckle Truck, The Moondogs and The Stones. Along with this you can also enjoy daily entertainment from Josh Doyle! Safe to say you won’t be short of enjoyment here!

By purchasing a ticket to this show also gain entry to the National Park and Holiday Homes Show giving you a chance to explore luxury lodges and residential holiday homes. Talk about two for the price of one! Again, day tickets cost £6 online with camping pitches mainly costing around £50 per night.

June – The Midsummer Motorhome Show
19th-21st June 2020

This show is taking things to a whole new level! Not only can you browse over 275 new and used vehicles while stocking up on accessories from more than 130 exhibitors, you can also camp for the entire weekend while enjoying four nights of rock’n’roll entertainment.

Sticking with the rock’n’roll theme you can enjoy free jive classes and 50s hair and makeup tuition. This show has something for everyone! Again, the evenings are packed with the likes of The Crazy Gang, Joey and The Jivers and The Firebirds just to name a few – we’ve never seen a line-up like it!

Tickets are currently £5 if you purchase them online. However, if you subscribe to a selection of different motorhome and caravan magazines you may be able to bag yourself some free tickets!

July – The Norfolk Motorhome Campervan Show
24th-26th July 2020

Time to take things to East Anglia! Once again, this show allows you to visit for the day or camp for the weekend enjoying all the activities and events. Whether you are browsing through the leisure accessories supplied by over 130 exhibitors or exploring the new and used models for sale this show has something for everyone!

The theme of evening entertainment continues as you can expect to see the likes of Supreme Motown, The Mods, and Elvis Through The Years! Remember though - evening entertainment is only open to those camping on-site so make sure you book your pitch while you still can!

Like some others this show only costs £5 if you book online for the day, along with camping pitches being priced from £52. It doesn’t get much better than that!

August – The Western Motorhome Show
14th-16th August 2020

Summer holidays means time for a trip away! Well this show is the perfect fit. With more than 600 new and used models for sale and over 250 exhibitors displaying their goods there is bound to be something for everyone.

Not only is there of course evening entertainment from acts such as Roots & Wings and Steve Jay, you can also enjoy daytime entertainment from acts such as Kenny Junior, Darren and Hope Country Gospel Band Church Service. And if that wasn’t already enough to keep you entertained you can enjoy authentic live history displays from The Lonestar Old West Re-enactment Group. They will provide educational workshops and live performances based around 19th Century Western America – sounds pretty cool to us!

It costs slightly more than other shows with a day ticket online being priced at £6 and camping pitches from around £62. Make sure you book early to avoid prices increasing!

September – The South West Motorhome Show
13th-14th September 2020

This may seem like forever away but it’s worth waiting for! Again, with over 300 new and used models on display and over 120 exhibitors you won’t be short of things to do. Again, you have the option to visit for the day or stay for the weekend and enjoy live classic rock entertainment from the likes of Wrecking Ball and Bootleg Blondie just to name a few!

At The South West Motorhome Show you can also take advantage of their free test drive experiences, along with motorhome manoeuvring and caravan towing courses for anyone aged 25 and over. Remember - don’t forget your license and be sure to book your session as soon as you arrive so not to miss out!

A range of seminars will also be available at the show, with the chance of you receiving some expert tips and advice from a range of different professionals. Tickets for this show are just £5 for a day ticket bought in advance, with once again camping pitches being priced from just £47! That’s the cheapest yet so get booking!

October – The Motorhome and Caravan Show NEC Birmingham
13th-18th October 2020

Another very big show of the year is of course The Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham. This really isn’t one to miss as not only will you get to browse a wide range of the latest caravans, campervans, motorhomes and accessories, you will also get to experience the live theatre where you can be the first to see some of the 2021 new product launches!

Along with this you can also expect to speak directly to manufacturers and get expert advice from industry experts and celebrity enthusiasts. Free led tuitions will also be available to improve your towing and motorhome manoeuvring skills!

Although there is only minimal information available for this event tickets are already on sale at an extremely low price of just £9.50 for adults and £8.50 for seniors. Make sure you snap these tickets up while you can and avoid any price increase!

November – Holiday Park Innovation
11th-12th November 2020

The end of the year tends to be quiet on the show front as everyone is in Christmas mode! However, we have found a show that may be of interest to any campers out there!

This show has over 400 exhibitors which you can browse some of the current and new products and services they offer. Along with this there will be several live demos and a range of expert speakers to give you the advice you need. Along with this you can also take part in live panel debates – one way to get your point across! Finally, the industry awards will be taking place at this show, so if that’s not a reason to be in attendance then we don’t know what is!

Ticket price information currently isn’t available, however there is also a chance of free tickets so make sure you keep checking their website for more information!

Now I know we promised a show for every month however after lots of research unfortunately we couldn’t find one for December. We guess December is all about getting in the Christmas spirit and preparing for 2021’s exciting new shows!
